Badass Sci Fi Dominates NaNoWriMo. Spire Coming Soon. Beta Readers Needed.

For the third year in a row, and four out of the last five, Badass Sci Fi grabbed NaNoWriMo by the scruff and dragged it through over fifty thousand words of badassery. As a result of our domination, Spire evolved from random, scattered chapters to a cohesive story, and The Halteres Chronicles officially became a series.

If you look at Badass Sci Fi’s homepage, you’ll see I started the launch countdown clock. I’m shooting for June 21 again, and hopefully this time I’ll get it. Two hundred days may look like a long time, but it’ll be here before you know it. BAM!
So, before we move on, I’m going to show you how close Spire is to entering the publishing pipeline.

Many of the chapter titles contain spoilers, so I had to white them out, but i do enjoy naming my chapters. Some you don’t see there are, May The Lifeforce Be With You, Half Cocked and Fully Loaded, Saddle Sores, and of course, That’s F***ing Gross.
The green rows represent multiple chapters I’ve already tied together with no further transition needed. So, about 53k of the 103k are cemented; the rest is less concrete.
Why am I telling you this? Well…
Uncle Patton Wants You to be a Beta Reader!

Patton wasn’t too happy with the way he was treated in Opposable and wants to make sure that shit doesn’t happen again.
Seriously, though, if you’re interested in being the first one on your block to get a sneak peak at Spire and let me know what you think, give me a shout.
Other Random Malarkey.
Sometimes I feel like I’m doing the old bait and switch with you guys. For that, I apologize.
“Where’s Mad Max, and Circuitry Man, and Leprechaun 4: In Space?” you ask.
Let me send my boys to fetch them.

How about a classic from Circuitry Man?

Leprechaun didn’t want to play.

Or a couple Badass Sci Fi music recommendations (with links)? Both these guys helped me plow through NaNo.
How about a tip for writers? Working on a novel and can’t decide which part to work on next? Download a wheel of chance and let fate and technology choose. I got this one from Tekhnologic. Again, blocked out due to spoilers, but Patton and Phreyja don’t mind.
Anywho, thanks for reading! Stay tuned for Badass Sci Fi’s top 20 from the last 20 in 2020!
Until next time, don’t bother me. I’m watching Escape for LA in 4K.
